The world’s largest inflatable fish

Commissioned by the Dutch State Lottery, we created the world’s largest inflatable fish in collaboration with Brand New Live. We were asked to turn the Dutch State Lottery’s logo, the famous fish, into a MEGA inflatable.

In this case, we can certainly speak of MEGA! Not only is the Dutch State Lottery Jackpot MEGA, but the inflatable fish is definitely MEGA too. How big is this fish, I hear you thinking? The inflatable is no less than 34 meters long and 17 meters high! For comparison, the inflatable is as high as a 6-story apartment building and as long as 2 bowling alleys in a row! The inflatable is so large that it is a World Record. The inflatable Dutch State Lottery fish is the largest inflatable fish in the world!

Making a big impact and standing out

The reason for developing this inflatable fish is the new high level of the Dutch State Lottery Jackpot. For the draw on July 10, the Jackpot is at 21.6 Million. The Dutch State Lottery wanted to make a big impact and stand out with its activation this time and has therefore chosen to customize a giant inflatable. The Dutch State Lottery clearly had an idea in mind, it had to be a record and it succeeded. The inflatable fish can be used for years to come for the activations of the highest Jackpots!

This gigantic inflatable object was realized within a period of just one month. There was no more time, the activation was scheduled for July 5, 2018. Everyone knows the slogan of the Dutch State Lottery. “It can happen on the 10th”. Of course, we still hope that we belong to one of the lucky ones. Although we already feel like lucky birds, because we are so proud of this giant inflatable and this project!

A sustainable idea

There is a lot involved in the production of such an object and of course also in its deployment. Our partner Clipper MS has played an important role in the execution of this project. Together with Clipper MS, it was decided to inflate the inflatable a day before deployment and lay it ready in the water of the IJ. On July 5, early in the morning, the fish left for the location. Behind the tugboat, the giant inflatable Dutch State Lottery fish was moved to a prominent place in the middle of the IJ, near the EYE museum. The world’s largest inflatable fish can be admired there from July 5! The inflatable will be stored after the first use. It will be brought back to life when a new Dutch State Lottery draw is ready.
