What’s happening?
Let’s Play Ball is the new family game show on SBS6 in which teams of famous Dutch people literally battle it out. With gigantic balls of four meters in diameter, they race through the Netherlands, through iconic locations and past tough obstacles. Their mission: to get the ball from start to finish faster than the opponent. Presenter Jan Versteegh guides viewers through the spectacle full of humor, chaos and competition. Commissioned by format and production house Signal.Stream, we started working on the development of giant balls. These giant balls are not only extremely eye-catching, but also safe, manageable and camera-proof. Because if you let celebrities play a game with balls of four meters, you want everything to be right.
Our solution
Publi Air designed and built several giant balls in bright team colors red and yellow. We opted for extra thick material to prevent wear and leaks, and incorporated smart, hidden handles so players have grip while rolling. Everything was tailored to intensive use, safety and a spectacular image on TV.
The result
The first episodes can now be seen on SBS6 and the reactions are enthusiastic: the program is grand, cheerful and spectacular, exactly as intended. Thanks to the giant balls, Let’s Play Ball is not only a game, but also a striking viewing experience that no one will forget.
