Colorful in Berlin: Cee Cee x Mr. Kaplin

With 6 freestanding, colorful animals, we brought the 25th
anniversary of Das Center am Potsdamer Platz to life!

Berlin’s most colorful birthday guests

For the 25th anniversary of Das Center am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, we went all out. Design agency Cee Cee Creative Berlin invited London artist Mr. Kaplin to jointly bring six playful, colorful animals to life: a panda, monkey, cat, fox, dog, and bee. Each designed in the signature style and vibrant colors that make the shopping center so recognizable.

Technically clever & visually impressive

The idea for this striking campaign arose from previous successful collaborations between Publi Air and GW Berlin, who brought the parties together. Mr. Kaplin’s designs were translated into realistic 3D inflatables with attention to detail, with much time spent fine-tuning shapes and colors. The challenge? All animals had to be able to stand freely with internal ballast, without guy ropes, in the middle of a busy urban area. Thanks to clever constructions and a well-prepared local assembly team, the placement went smoothly.

A square full of color and character

The result was a cheerful, interactive environment, where visitors and passers-by stopped en masse. Together, the six animals form a colorful whole and brought the Potsdamer Platz to life.
