Window display for de Bijenkorf, theme: “a new balance” “How can we shape the ‘A new balance’ window display campaign?” This question was posed to us by De Bijenkorf. The campaign is about finding a new balance with ourselves, each other, and nature. The four natural elements—air, water, earth, and fire—play an important role in this. To symbolize ‘air,’ we came up with a unique idea: inflatable breathing spheres. First, a prototype was made to investigate how to mimic the movement of breathing. A beautiful study, with an even more beautiful result. No, we won’t reveal our ‘trade secret’ ;). When you think of nature, you quickly think of sustainability. We certainly did that with this project. By using -PVC-free- residual material from other productions, the balls are produced sustainably and circularly. Plug and Play The breathing balls could be admired[1] during the autumn days in the window displays of the following Bijenkorf branches: Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, Utrecht, Amstelveen, and Maastricht.
